Baltic Cognac Amber Pendants

Baltic Amber originates as resin from trees in the vast forests of the Baltic lands.

The amber resin gradually solidified and was taken by rivers to the Baltic Sea. Amber can now be found there along the coastlines.  Cognac amber is a transparent type of amber. Small inclusions of preserved plants, insects, water or gas bubbles are often visible within the stones. The transparency and the inclusions give the stone a beautiful depth. Amber has been treasured in many cultures and communities throughout history due to its vibrant colour and special meaning. We have chosen this variety of amber in our jewellery for the stunning contrast between the warm fiery stone and the cool metallic lustre of the sterling silver.
